This is a late front runner for tweet of the year:
Cee-Lo Green to Play Raekwon's Father in a Biopic Film Raekwon Is Making About His Own Life p4k.in/rn0Vbw
Raekwon is a busy guy. He released an album this year, Shaolin Vs. Wu-Tang, and he'sheading out on tour as part of this year's Rock the Bells festival. Cee-Lo Green is a busy guy, too, what with last year's LP The Lady Killer, working on a new Goodie Mob album, and his gig as one of the judges on TV singing competition "The Voice". Both these dudes are about to be a lot busier, too, since Cee-Lo Green is set to act in Rae's in-the-works biopic about his own life story. And what's more, Cee-Lo will be playing Raekwon's dad.
Raekwon broke the news to XXL, telling them that he's almost finished with the script for the film, tentatively titled C.R.E.A.M., and that about 60 percent of the roles have been cast. "[He's] a good friend of mine," Rae told XXL of Cee-Lo. "When I called him and told him about it he was just overwhelmed. He's just one out of the greats that's gonna be on the project."
Cee-Lo's confirmed the news on his Twitter, too: "News flash: I CEELO GREEN will be playing the "FATHER" OF RAEKWON THE CHEF in his new biography on his life! NOW THAT'S HIP-HOP for ya!"
The article also mentions that the Cool Kids' Chuck Inglish was at one point in consideration to play Raekwon in the film, but that role has not yet been cast.
